Deaf Myerscough student stops off to graduate during charity cycle ride

A deaf Myerscough student stopped off midway through a 1,000 mile charity cycle ride to attend his graduation ceremony last week.
Ed Stevens completed his BSc (Hons) programme in Arboriculture and Urban Forestry this year and broke off from his challenge to pick up his scroll and celebrate his success.
Ed and a team of five other riders have since ridden from John o’ Groats to Land’s End, covering around 100 miles a day, to complete the challenge in 10 days, to raise money to improve access to physical and mental health services for deaf people in his native Bristol, through workshops, information sessions and to cover the cost of sign language interpreters.
Midway through the ride, Ed stopped off at Myerscough’s Preston centre at Bilsborrow to celebrate completing his degree.
